About Company

The goal of the Dubai Government Human Resources Department is to make the management, growth, and governance of human resources for the government sector a recognized and leading national role. Its job is to create and carry out an integrated plan for government human resources, as well as to set up governance frameworks and bring public institutions' human resources systems and practices up to date.

The department was created by Decree No. 31 of 2009 from HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Its job is to make sure that government human resources are up-to-date and that human resources programs and initiatives are in line with the emirate's strategic goals and priorities, as outlined in the Dubai Strategic Plan 2015. Its job is to handle and support human resources at the strategic level by creating the legal and organizational structure of government human resources, keeping human resources practices up to date, and planning and leading the steps needed to make the country stronger.
