WSP are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team for a prestigious site supervision infrastructure project based in Abu Dhabi. As an Electrical Engineer in the Site Supervision team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation of electrical systems for our infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi. You will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to oversee the electrical aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and design standards.

Your new role, what's involved?
Electrical Systems Oversight:
• Supervise and monitor the installation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment on the project site.
• Ensure that electrical installations comply with approved designs, specifications, and local regulations.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
• Implement and enforce quality control measures for electrical work to meet industry standards and project requirements.
• Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with design, safety, and performance standards.
Site Safety and Environmental Compliance:
• Promote and enforce strict safety and environmental practices for electrical work on the site.
• Collaborate with the HSE team to ensure that all electrical activities adhere to safety and environmental regulations.

Technical Problem Solving:
• Identify and address technical challenges and issues related to electrical systems and equipment promptly.
• Propose innovative solutions to optimize electrical systems' performance and efficiency.

Coordination and Communication:
• Liaise with project stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory authorities regarding electrical aspects of the project.
• Provide regular updates and reports to project management and relevant stakeholders.

Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of electrical work, including daily progress reports, inspection records, and as-built drawings.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports and documentation to project management.

Requirements

We'd love to hear from you if you have:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in site supervision roles on infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and relevant regulations.
• Familiarity with local electrical codes and standards in Abu Dhabi.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and AutoCAD.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to dynamic project environments.
• Willingness to be based in Abu Dhabi for the duration of the project.
