Job Title: Chef de Partie / Station Chef – Cabana Kitchen
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Chef de Partie (or Station Chef) to lead our Cabana Kitchen. You will be responsible for overseeing a specific kitchen area, ensuring all dishes are prepared according to standard recipes, and managing a team of Demi Chefs and Commis Chefs to maintain high-quality culinary standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operations of the Cabana Kitchen, ensuring that every dish is prepared according to standard recipes.
- Train and supervise Demi Chefs and Commis Chefs, ensuring that all team members adhere to proper procedures.
- Monitor the quality, seasoning, and presentation of dishes to meet our high standards.
- Manage kitchen inventory, keep stock updated, and ensure cleanliness in all storage areas.
- Maintain the kitchen station in compliance with HACCP standards and overall hygiene protocols.
- Understand and implement menu items, including those with special dietary requirements.
- Conduct regular inventory checks, manage costs, and minimize waste.
- Perform other tasks as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant kitchen.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- In-depth knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety practices, and HACCP standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software are a plus.
