Job Description
We are seeking a nurturing, experienced, and dedicated Maternity Nurse to provide expert care for our newborn and assist in their long-term development. This is a permanent, full-time live-in position for a passionate professional who is committed to creating a warm, secure, and stimulating environment for our baby.
Key Responsibilities:
- Newborn Care: Feeding, bathing, diaper changes, soothing, and general care.
- Establish Routines: Maintain consistent routines for feeding, sleep, and developmental activities.
- Monitor Health & Growth: Track the baby’s development and communicate any concerns.
- Developmental Support: Introduce milestones like solid food, early learning, and socialization.
- Guidance for Parents: Offer advice on childcare techniques, routines, and developmental stages.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain the nursery, sterilize feeding equipment, and manage laundry.
- Educational Activities: Engage in age-appropriate learning activities.
- Safety & Care: Ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for the child.
Qualifications:
- Professional training in maternity nursing, childcare, or neonatal care.
- Certification in Pediatric First Aid and CPR.
- Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in newborn and child care.
- Knowledge of developmental milestones and early childhood education.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable with excellent communication skills.
- Strong references from previous roles in long-term family care.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Sleep consultancy training.
- Familiarity with early childhood education or Montessori-style learning.
- Knowledge of children’s meal preparation and light household duties.
- Multilingual skills (a plus).
Working Hours:
- Full-time, live-in, with flexibility for night care as needed.
