Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning and Leadership:

    • Develop and implement traffic mobility strategies aligned with urban development and sustainability goals.
    • Lead multidisciplinary teams, ensuring quality, technical expertise, and timely project delivery.
    • Identify innovative mobility solutions like ITS, multimodal transport, and active mobility enhancements.
  2. Project Management:

    • Oversee traffic and mobility components in urban planning and infrastructure projects.
    • Manage project timelines, budgets, deliverables, and risk assessments while ensuring quality and safety.
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies for challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
  3. Technical Expertise:

    • Perform advanced traffic analysis using tools such as VISSIM, SYNCHRO, SIDRA, and AIMSUN.
    • Develop traffic impact studies and mobility optimization plans.
    • Provide solutions for traffic flow improvement, safety enhancements, and congestion management.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Collaborate with government authorities, municipalities, and private developers to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
    • Present findings and strategies to stakeholders to build consensus and secure buy-in.
    • Act as a subject matter expert during discussions with clients and regulatory bodies.
  5. Sustainability and Innovation:

    • Promote sustainable mobility solutions like public transport prioritization and electric vehicle integration.
    • Leverage emerging technologies and data analytics to optimize traffic systems and planning processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Educational Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field.
    • Master’s degree in Transportation Engineering or Urban Mobility is preferred.
  • Professional Experience:

    • 12-15 years of experience in traffic engineering, transportation planning, or urban mobility management.
    • Proven track record in delivering complex traffic and mobility projects in urban environments, preferably in the Middle East.
    • Familiarity with UAE’s regulatory framework and standards is highly advantageous.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in traffic analysis and simulation tools (e.g., VISSIM, SYNCHRO, SIDRA, AIMSUN).
    • Strong knowledge of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and emerging mobility technologies.
  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
