I purchased this ‘Macbook Pro 15.4” 1TB with Touch Bar + Touch ID’ in 2018 (fully maxed out) at the Apple Store in HongKong. It has been my daily driver until 2020 when I started to use my mac mini as we were all stuck at home. I really love this laptop as it has served me well through many successful projects & thus has been the reason for not letting it go, even though I havent used it much in the last 2 years. With this laptop, I was able to use for iOS development, also edit & color grade some 4K - 6K videos easily but with a little proxy, was able to work with 8K videos in Final Cut Pro as well. Also using lightroom for photos was a no brainer. And being an Intel machine, I had the option to use an eGPU to increase graphics performance to desktop level high-end GPUs & was able to edit all those timelines even more easily on DaVinci Resolve etc… (which seems to be a missing feature in Apple Silicon M1 Macs today). Overall, this was a snappy machine even for pro workflows at the time; and so for any regular/student users today, this pro level machine could be more than what they need. However, there is this one thing that I intend to bring to your attention to & that is a light surface mark on top as can be seen in the pic (not a deep one at all, can’t even feel it when you glide your hand over it) - and is not visible from all angles & only under a certain light. I had to take the photo itself at an exact angle to capture this surface mark. It is just the nature of things is what Apple says, is for most ‘Space Gray’ models as they use a dark coat on top of aluminium frame. All otherwise, I’d say this product is in perfect condition as I have taken good care of the product just as is with all my gear. You will understand when you see the product in person, also which you can get a glimpse for yourself in the pics below. Other important details I am sharing to indicate how well the laptop has been maintained are: - Disk Speed Test as of today - (Read: 2491 MBps, Write: 2008 MBps) which is actually pretty fast even in 2022, most Non-Apple pro laptops too cannot even match this speed today. - Battery Condition: Very Good (Normal) - Battery Cycle Count as of today - (only 128/ 1000) cycles since 2018. Lastly my reason for selling it now. I recently purchased the M1 Macbook Pro 16”; which means surely I wont be finding any use to my favorite 15” anymore.
