School Bus Attendant

Job Description

We are looking for a responsible and caring School Bus Attendant to ensure the safety and well-being of students during their daily commutes. Your role will involve maintaining a safe and clean vehicle, assisting with the loading and unloading of students, and ensuring proper conduct on the bus. You will also support students with special needs by operating specialized equipment such as car seats, wheelchairs, and lifts.

  ✅ Diffuse difficult situations positively and respectfully.

  ✅ Ensure the bus is safe and clean at the start and end of each shift.

  ✅ Communicate effectively with dispatch or central office personnel via two-way radio.

  ✅ Assist the bus operator with navigation and locating destinations as needed.

  ✅ Safely load and unload students, including those with special needs, using appropriate equipment.

  ✅ Monitor student behavior to ensure adherence to safety and conduct standards.
