Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records for a construction company and ensure compliance with accounting principles.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable specific to the construction industry.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts for the construction company.
- Prepare financial statements and reports including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes within the construction industry.
- Handle tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Conduct audits and ensure internal controls are followed.
- Collaborate with other departments for financial planning and analysis.
Required Qualifications:
- Solid knowledge of construction heads and ledgers.
- Proven experience as an accountant with a construction company.
- Proficiency in accounting ERP packages tailored to the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction ledgers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in the construction field.
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy in managing construction ledgers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills for feeding accurate ledgers.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
