Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Translation: Translate a wide range of written materials, including documents, articles, websites, marketing materials, and other content, from the source language to the target language. Ensure accurate and faithful translation while maintaining the style, tone, and intent of the original text.
Language Proficiency: Demonstrate strong language skills in both the source and target languages, with a focus on grammar, vocabulary, syntax, and idiomatic expressions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of linguistic and cultural nuances in both languages to ensure accurate translation.
Subject Matter Expertise: Adapt to different subject matters and industries, including but not limited to business, legal, technical, marketing, and general topics. Conduct research when necessary to ensure accurate understanding and translation of specialized terminology.
Quality Assurance: Review and revise translated content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and coherence. Edit and proofread translations for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting. Ensure that translated documents are of high quality and error-free.
Cultural Sensitivity: Consider cultural nuances, sensitivities, and local preferences when translating content. Adapt the translation to suit the target audience and comply with cultural norms and practices.
Collaboration: Work closely with clients, project managers, and other team members to understand project requirements, timelines, and deliverables. Communicate effectively and provide updates on translation progress.
